Big Bash League Points System: Teams earn two points for each victory. A loss awards zero points. When matches end without a result due to weather interruptions, both teams receive one point each. Net run rate serves as the tiebreaker when teams finish level on points.
The four highest-ranked teams advance to the finals. First plays second in the Qualifier, with the winner progressing directly to the final. Third faces fourth in the Knockout.

The Qualifier loser meets the Knockout winner in the Challenger to determine the second finalist. Perth Scorchers hold the record with five BBL titles since 2011, though only Melbourne Stars remain without championship success.
The 2024-25 season saw Hobart maintain a perfect 7-0 home record at Bellerive Oval through their title run.
